The NFDA Commercial Vehicle Division meets with DVSA every month to converse on proposed changes in legislation and to input our views and ideas on a wide range of areas including ATF’s, compliance issues, first time pass rates and ORCS.

We sometimes find we are not always in agreement with DVSA policy makers over issues such as lane fees, commercial vehicle type approval, class 7 MOT testing and privatisation but by meeting regularly we express our members views and can influence the outcomes of proposals to an extent. Additionally, it keeps us informed of changes before they happen, which are relayed to members via our monthly newsletter.

We continue to lobby the DVSA and Government for the privatisation of HGV/PSV testers at our members ATF facilities.
