What We Do For You

  • Promote the interests of franchised dealers to manufacturers, UK and European Government, other industry trade bodies and consumers
  • Provide advice and assistance for dealers when dealing with their manufacturer
  • Liaise with manufacturers, Government, suppliers and service providers on behalf of dealers
  • Hold regular meetings with key Government departments including the Department of Transport (DfT), the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and HMRC
  • Provide industry statistical information and data reports and related analysis, including the twice yearly NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey and Consumer Attitude Survey
  • Develop relationships with Dealer Councils
  • Provide support and assistance to dealers with financial planning, tax issues, dealer systems and general business advice
  • Hold regular meetings with members to provide industry insight and networking opportunities including quarterly regional dealer meetings and the national executive meetings
  • Hold dedicated working groups to develop policy and implement best practice: Aftersales, Used Cars, Finance & Insurance, HR & Training and Government Liaison
  • Provide regular updates to members on motor industry news, legislative and regulatory changes, Government consultations and enquiries, and market data. This includes our weekly news bulletin and quarterly magazine, The Voice
  • Promote career opportunities available in the retail automotive industry through Drive My Career
  • Certifying excellence in the EV sector through the Government endorsed and funded Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme
