This week Vauxhall announced that they are terminating their entire network of 350 dealerships in the UK. Dealers will be given two years notice from 30 April and it will then invite approximately 230 dealers to reapply to sell Vauxhall cars. This is of concern for our Vauxhall dealer members. The NFDA Consumer Attitude Survey Spring 2018 was launched this week. The survey explores current consumer perceptions of franchised dealers and their competitors as well as understand consumer aftersales behaviour. Please see an overview of the survey results below. The NFDA’s sister association, NAMA, published its monthly data report this week. It shows that auction activity remains buoyant indicating that retail activity is still strong and the outlook looking positive with more stock hitting the wholesale channels as a result of the Mach plate change.
