Dear Colleague,

This week, it was extremely positive to see that the Secretary of State for Business (BEIS), Energy and Industrial Strategy, Greg Clark, acknowledged that ‘there’s a place for diesel vehicles’. It is encouraging to see that the Secretary of State’s comments echo NFDA’s views which have been regularly discussed in a number of meetings with BEIS.

NFDA has launched its new website: it is more interactive, with a modern design and refreshed look. With the new ‘search’ function, the website users will be able to immediately find what they look for. We will be monitoring the performance of the different sections of the website and liaise with members to ensure that it reflects their needs. Visit www.nfda-uk.co.uk.

One week to GDPR – The deadline of 25 May 2018 for all organisations to comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is next Friday. However, this is an evolutionary process and it is important that businesses continue to address any potential data-related risks going forward. NFDA members who have any queries about GDPR, should contact the NFDA GDPR helpline on 01788 538 304.

Finally, following the previous success of the event, we are working again in partnership with Automotive Management: AM Live 2018 will take place on 8 November, 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham. The event is free for dealers to attend and registrations are now open at http://bit.ly/2L948KX.

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any assistance, please contact us on the member helpline 01788 538303.
