Automotive Management Live 2018, co-hosted by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA), will provide dealers with an excellent opportunity to meet with colleagues, attend informative workshops and discuss key industry issues that are affecting our sector.

The NFDA team will be able to give you an update on what is currently on top of our agenda.

While the new car market remains at high levels, media speculation about diesel and emissions has been causing confusion. NFDA is working closely with members to provide consumers with accurate facts and information about different fuel types to ensure that they can select the car that best suits their driving habits. We have produced various guides and documents to outline the implications of the most traditional fuel types as well as bust myths the less widespread surrounding low emission vehicles.

On the policy side, our active engagement with the Government continues.

Over the past 12 months, a number of MPs have visited NFDA members’ dealerships in their constituencies as the NFDA Parliamentary Engagement Programme raises awareness of the retail motor industry. During the visits, dealers show to MPs how they run their site, outline the employment opportunities the sector offers and highlight the contributions their dealerships make to local and national economy.

At AM Live we will give you an insight into the latest findings of our two main surveys: the Dealer Attitude Survey, which we use to monitor the health of the relationship between dealers and their respective manufacturers, and the Consumer Attitude Survey, where we explore consumers’ perceptions in the aftersales market as well as their buying intentions. Following the publication of the surveys, we have had a number of meetings with manufacturers to ensure that we continue to best represent your interests.

A new, exciting and unique NFDA’s initiative: Drive My Career (www.drivemycareer.co.uk) aims to improve the perception of the automotive industry and highlight to the youth all the exciting career opportunities our sector offers. Hear how it works and be part of its growth.

Finally, GDPR has now come into effect. It is important that dealers have a successful compliance strategy in place and if you need any assistance, NFDA’s legal partners can help you.

Visit NFDA at the Hub to ask any question you may have, discuss potential issues currently affecting your business and see what we can do to help you.
