Dear Colleague,

This week we held a conference to discuss the ASA versus Glyn Hopkin ruling on multi-user vehicles. We had attendees from across the industry including dealers, auctions and car supermarkets. NFDA’s legal team were in attendance to advise and guide on the issue. NFDA will provide further guidance for members in due course.

NFDA’s sister association, the National Association of Motor Auctions, published its monthly data report this week. The report shows that auction activity has been buoyant in 2018 so far and the outlook continues to look positive for the coming months. A summary of the report is in this week’s news.

NFDA members will have received the Summer 2018 Dealer Attitude Survey questionnaire. Just a reminder that the deadline response date is 31 July. The Dealer Attitude Survey is a vital tool for the NFDA in discussions with manufacturers on the dealer/manufacturer relationship and ‘balance of power.’ It is therefore essential that we receive a response to the survey in order to maintain its credibility as the industry’s leading independent survey. We would like your feedback – good or bad!

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any assistance, please contact us on the member helpline 01788 538303.

Sue Robinson, NFDA Director
