The DVLA have announced that after 3pm on Friday 17 August until before 6am on Monday 20 August morning dealers will not be able to register a vehicle as the DVLA systems will be down for upgrading at that time.
These have been short interruptions to the DVLA’s usual services to minimise the inconvenience for customers.
This essential upgrade will affect most of DVLA’s online services and also their contact centre. DVLA appreciate that this may affect dealers.
DVLA’s Register a Vehicle service will be available as normal to those manufacturers who are currently using this service but the Automated First Registration & Licensing Service will not be available from 3pm on the Friday.
While DVLA are asking customers who use their services to plan ahead, not all of their services are affected.
Drivers will still be able to renew their ten year photocard driving licence at the Post Office, and also be able to go online to share and view their driving licence.
