The UK aftermarket is facing a time of change with a vehicle parc becoming ever younger, technologies advancing and alternative fuelled vehicle sales growing rapidly.
To try to give members some insights into how these trends could play out for their businesses, the NFDA consulted with ICDP (International Car Distribution Programme) to develop a model to create an aftersales forecast model. This model may help give some insights into the relationships between different trends in aftersales.
ICDP has endeavoured to build a dynamic model to best represent these relationships. For dealers to make use of the model they need to input their individual situation and their estimates of market meta-trends within their customer group.
