Dear Colleague,
Next week, I will attend the annual Labour Party Conference in Liverpool. The conference will provide NFDA with an ideal opportunity to discuss key issues currently facing our industry including diesel, motor finance, the retail automotive industry’s levels of investment and Brexit. A number of meetings with relevant MPs and parliamentarians are on the agenda. We will keep you updated.
It is extremely positive to see that Groupe Renault has seen the value in Drive My Career and has signed up all NFDA retailer members’ sites to help promote the career opportunities available in the automotive retail sector. With the addition of all Renault and Dacia sites in the UK, Drive My Career will be able to display a total of 850 dealerships around the UK. Please find more details in today’s news.
Today, Friday 21 September, Ben Bradshaw MP for Exeter visited the new £13 million Vospers development in Exeter as the NFDA Parliamentary Engagement Programme continues. During the visit, the MP discussed with NFDA Head of Operation Stephen Latham and Chairman Peter Vosper a number of key issues facing the sector and the priorities ahead of Brexit: https://bit.ly/2DfIqF4 . In two weeks’ time, NFDA will enter Bangers4Ben and drive across Europe to raise money for Ben, the automotive industry charity. The team would like to thank Marshall Motor Group, Trident Honda, Devonshire Motors, Truck East, Brian Currie, Triangle Kia, Caffyns, Perrys and Premier Autocentres for their generous donations!
