Dear Colleague

The new car registration figures circulated this week showed a decline of -20.5% in September. This was highly anticipated as the introduction of WLTP in September has affected the UK as well as the other European new car markets. Year to date, the new van market was down -3.0% whilst demand for large vans and pick-ups remains solid. Please see our full commentary on the figures in this week’s newsletter.

This week the NFDA has put forward its priorities for the Autumn Budget 2018 to the Chancellor of the Exchequer. We have outlined our concerns for the industry including WLTP, Brexit, and Electric Vehicles. The Chancellor will give his Budget Statement at the end of October.
