Dear Colleague,

Following our recent meeting in Brussels, we are now working with our European counterparts as a Franchised Dealer Alliance to represent our members’ interests at an EU-level. Our first project is the evaluation of the Vertical Block Exemption Regulation and we are currently finalising our response for the European Commission. We will keep you updated.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published its business plan setting out the priorities for the year ahead. There is little evidence that their work on motor finance will be one of the leading workstreams, beyond what has already been announced in the Motor Review final report. Please find more details in the news.

Next week, we will publish the latest NFDA Consumer Attitude Survey. This is the seventh issue of the survey which explores consumer perceptions of franchised dealers and competitors in the aftersales sector. This year, the survey has been redesigned to include more questions and poll a higher number of respondents. The results will be revealed on Tuesday 30 April.

The NFDA Spring Ball is only two weeks away -There are very few spaces still available, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk to join us at The Grove in Hertfordshire. We look forward to celebrating the excellence of automotive retail with you!
