This week, new passenger car registrations figures showed that the market declined by -4.6% in May reflecting a slowdown in consumer spending affected by the uncertain political environment. Sales of petrol rose by 1.0%, diesel was down -18.3% and alternative fuel vehicles continued to rise, up 11.7%. Positively, the light commercial vehicles remained strong in May with a growth of 5.4%.
