Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) is the new accreditation scheme developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) and endorsed by the Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and the Energy Saving Trust (EST).

The scheme has a set of standards for retail and aftersales that retailers must meet in order to become EVA members (these are available on the EVA website: https://www.evapproved.co.uk/about-us/ ).

Individual dealerships that wish to become ‘EV Approved’ are independently audited by the Energy Saving Trust. Once a dealer group decides which site(s) they wish to be EVA members, NFDA arranges for an audit to occur at these locations. The audits result in either a pass or a referral.

On receipt of a successful audit report, NFDA grants the dealership’s EVA membership. EVA members can display the ‘EVA kitemark’ to show to their customers their expertise in the electric vehicle sector.

There is a total of one hundred Government funded slots costing dealers a £100 application fee per site. These are filling up quickly and we advise retailers who would like to join EVA to contact us soon.

To join EVA, please email eva@rmif.co.uk or contact 0207 307 3424.
