Dear Colleague,

NFDA members will have now received the Summer 2019 Dealer Attitude Survey questionnaire for completion. Just a reminder that the deadline to respond is 31 July. The Dealer Attitude Survey is a vital tool for NFDA in the discussions with manufacturers to continue to best represent your interests and raise any issues affecting your business. It is therefore essential that we receive a response to the survey - Your feedback is key, positive or otherwise.

This week saw the publication of the latest Drive My Career Insight on young people’s perception of apprenticeships. The insights collate the findings of the surveys that Drive My Career runs every two months to understand young people’s perceptions of working in the automotive industry. It was encouraging to see that 95% of respondents would stay with the same company if they received a job offer after an apprenticeship. Please find more information below.

NFDA’s quarterly magazine, The Voice, has now been published. It includes updates on our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme, Drive My Career, the results of our latest Consumer Attitude Survey as well as exclusive interviews and the next round of NFDA regional meetings. You can download it here - www.nfda-uk.co.uk/press-room/the-voice/2019

Our Parliamentary Engagement Scheme continues: Tom Tugendhat MP has visited Humphries and Parks Mitsubishi in West Malling. These visits allow us to raise awareness of the retail side of the automotive industry and give our members the opportunity to highlight their contributions to the local economy. If you would like to host your constituency MP, please contact louise.woods@rmif.co.uk.

NFDA is your trade association: we represent, you benefit. If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our member helpline on 01788 538303.

Sue Robinson, NFDA Director
