Dear Colleague,

Despite the continued uncertainty, the UK is two months away from its planned departure from the EU and we advise franchised retailers to take seriously the idea that a ‘no deal’ Brexit is fast approaching. NFDA has commissioned automotive research body ICDP to compile a key list of questions for franchised retailers to ask of their manufacturer partners, suppliers and themselves. We have also set up a dedicated Brexit helpdesk should you require any assistance. Please find more details on our website at https://www.nfda-uk.co.uk/industry-issues/dealer-guidance-in-case-of-no-deal-brexit .

The first NFDA EV Marketplace Seminar will take place on Tuesday 3 December 2019 at the Warwick Hilton. Keynote speakers will analyse the challenges and opportunities facing the electric vehicle sector. The first confirmed speaker is Graeme Cooper, Electric Vehicles Project Director at the National Grid. Please find more details in today’s news and email nfda@rmif.co.uk to book your place.

This week we held a well-attended HR Working Group meeting where we discussed key employment issues affecting our industry and the continued growth of Drive My Career. On Tuesday, we will hold our Southern Regional Meeting in Cobham: dealer/manufacturer relationship, new and used car market, F&I, aftersales and HR issues are on the agenda. Our members’ input is key and your attendance to these meetings is of vital importance.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers: if you require any assistance, please contact our member helpline at 01788 538303.
