Dear Colleague,

This week we held a well-attended, insightful Brexit Dealer Forum in Belfast. Despite the continued uncertainty, the forum provided dealers with guidance on key issues that may change with Brexit, in particular, VAT and car imports. More information will be circulated to NFDA members soon, please contact nfda@rmif.co.uk if you would like to receive further details. Also, our Brexit portal is now live at www.nfda-uk.co.uk/brexit allowing you to download guidance documents and ask any questions you may have.

Some members of the NFDA F&I Working Group met on Thursday to discuss the best approach to the latest Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) consultation proposing changes to discretionary finance commission models. NFDA has had a number of meetings with the FCA and will continue to liaise with them. We will keep our members updated.

Also this week, the Block Exemption Regulation working group met. This followed the first meeting with the EC where they outlined their initial thoughts. A further working group is being held at the Commission next week with representatives from all major stakeholders in attendance. We will send a briefing note out following this meeting.

AM Live, the leading event for UK automotive retailers, will take place next week. NFDA will be at stand D24 to update you on all our latest and future activities, including Drive My Career and Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA). Register here for free to attend.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers: if you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our member helpline at 01788 538303.
