Dear Colleague,

This week we published the latest NFDA EV Dealer Attitude Survey featuring the ‘key players’ in the EV sector. The results showed signs of optimism in important areas of the EV market including product range, supply and consumer appetite. Toyota had the highest score for each question of the survey. Please find more details below.

Following a query by an NFDA member, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a notice to retailers who may have been miscategorised as ‘Core’ rather than ‘Limited’ firms with regard to their insurance activities. Ahead of the implementation the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) on 9 December, members are advised to check the status of their categorisation. Please find more details in the news.

As the General Election approaches, we have included in today’s news a summary of the different parties’ manifestos. We have outlined the main points which are likely to affect automotive retailers.

Next Tuesday, 3 December, the NFDA EV Marketplace Seminar will take place in Warwick. Keynote speakers will discuss challenges and opportunities in the EV sector and analyse future trends.
