The Government has confirmed the UK will remain in lockdown for at least another three weeks. We continue to liaise with members and the relevant Government departments to ensure franchised dealers receive the best possible support throughout these challenging times. If you are an NFDA member and not currently receiving our daily COVID-19 bulletin, please email nfda@rmif.co.uk.

In particular, the cut-off date for eligibility for the Job Retention Scheme has been extended to 19 March, the scheme itself has also been extended to the end of June and will formally launch on Monday 20 April. The Large Business Interruption Loan Scheme will also open on 20 April. Please find more details in the news.

This week, we wrote to Northern Ireland Finance Minister to urge him to extend business rates discount for the retail sector. In fact, while in England and Scotland retail businesses will enjoy a business rates holiday of 12 months, currently all businesses in Northern Ireland will pay no business rates for only three months from 1 April.
