Although there have been a few changes to the lockdown measures in England, the position in Wales, where DVLA is based, remains unchanged. As a result, the resources available to DVLA must align with the social distancing regulations in Wales.

DVLA’s staff on-site continue to focus on the services required by critical workers to fight the pandemic e.g. vocational driving licences, tachograph cards, registration of vehicles used by critical workers.

Dealers are urged to continue to use DVLA’s digital services where they can as these are still operating as normal. DVLA’s paper application processes remain severely impacted by the pandemic, so please refrain from submitting paper applications at this time.
