You have been selected to be part of the 2020 RaV audit schedule, and we would like to formally invite you to take part in an audit.

Background

We recently communicated with the Industry that DVLA would be scheduling another round of Register a Vehicle service (RaV) audits soon.

We understand that your businesses may have seen significant changes throughout the Coronavirus pandemic and you may not have enough resources available to immediately support a RaV audit. We are therefore happy to work with you to agree a suitable approach.

What do I need to know about the audit?

Audits are conducted by the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA). This year, the audits will be carried out remotely via Microsoft Teams. You will be asked a series of questions around your use of the DVLA’s RaV system, as well as your knowledge of policies and processes that should be adhered to.

GIAA will notify you at least a week in advance of your audit date and will explain how the audit will be facilitated remotely. If you have an issue using Microsoft teams, you should let us know so we can consider an alternative prior to the audit taking place.

What do I need to do next?

We will now pass your information to GIAA who will be in touch regarding next steps. If you are unable to participate at this current time, you should reply to this email outlining the reasons why. If appropriate we may re-schedule your appointment to suit your needs. We are aiming to complete all of our audits by the end of 2020.
