Dear Colleague,
This week, the Chancellor announced a number of new measures to support businesses that have been adversely affected by the pandemic. Dealers will benefit from the ‘pay as you grow’ scheme and a VAT deferral, which will give business more time for their repayments. The Government will also launch a new Job support Scheme which is likely to apply mainly to small and medium dealers. Please find more details below.
Following the new Government guidelines to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, we have had numerous enquiries about the use of face coverings and QR codes in dealerships. The NFDA advisors at MILS have confirmed that whilst all businesses are encouraged to display an official QR code, dealers are not required by the regulations to do so. Regarding face coverings, all dealerships’ staff who meet customers face to face will be required to wear a face covering, unless one of the current exemptions applies to them. Please find more details below.
This week, we held an extremely well-attended dealer meeting combining three different regions. We discussed the market, the results of the latest NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey, our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation scheme and the main regulations affecting dealerships. To register your interest to attend our next meetings, please email nfda@rmif.co.uk.
