Following the restrictions introduced in a number of areas across the UK, we encourage dealers to contact us if they have any queries about how the new regulations may affect them. The situation is fluid and subject to frequent changes, so, while we encourage dealers to take all necessary precautions and carry out unaccompanied test drives where possible, it is difficult to provide generic guidance. This week, we welcomed the Prime Minister’s ‘Skills Speech’ announcing potential reforms to the current apprenticeship system. This would be a positive move following our lobbying efforts calling on the Government to give businesses additional time to use the apprenticeship levy. Please find more details below.
NFDA has appointed a new Head of Operations, Paddy O’Connell. Paddy takes over from Stephen Latham who will continue to work for the NFDA Commercial Vehicle Division. I would like to welcome Paddy to the team and thank Steve for his invaluable support over the past twelve years.
