This week, September’s new passenger car registrations figures showed a decline in the market as the strong consumer demand seen by franchised dealers was partially offset by supply issues. The light commercial vehicle market saw a strong 26.4% uplift following last year’s decline due to the introduction of new emission regulations. Please find more details below.

The latest official figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed the UK economy rose by 2.1% in August, the fourth consecutive month of expansion after the lockdown, although the growth was slower than June and July.

Local councils have confirmed Bath and Birmingham will see their Clean Air Zones being introduced in 15 March 2021 and 1 June 2021 respectively. Private cars will be exempt in Bath. Please find more information in the news.
