With the end of the Brexit transition period approaching, dealers are reminded to review the latest government guidance on preparing their businesses for new processes and other changes from 1 January 2021.
Businesses can review which guidance applies to them by completing the Government’s Brexit checker, which will provide them with a personalised list of actions.
If you move goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a free Trader Support Service is available to guide you through any changes you may need to be aware of under the Northern Ireland Protocol. Businesses can also review the guidance collection on moving goods into, out of, or through Northern Ireland from 1 January 2021.
A series of free videos and webinars are also available to help businesses understand which actions they need to take before 1 January 2021, as well as on trading with the EU after Brexit.
NFDA members can also review guidance from MHA Macintyre Hudson outlining changes to VAT on services from 1 January 2021. For more information, please email nfda@rmif.co.uk.
Members looking for further advice or who have specific queries can contact the NFDA helpdesk at nfda@rmif.co.uk or by calling 01788 538303.
