Last week, franchised dealers celebrated their apprentices through the Drive My Career apprentice takeover campaign. The ‘DMCApprenticeTakeover’ promoted the success of many apprentices working across all business areas of the automotive industry and reached over 350,000 people on social media. Positively, the used car market continued to perform well. Used car transactions saw a growth of 2.4% in the final quarter of 2019 and ended the year at the same level as 2018. Petrol and diesel saw marginal declines, whilst sales of the latest Euro 6 diesel models grew. Also, alternative fuel vehicles saw an increase.
