Dear Colleague,

The latest new car registration figures showed a decline in the market of -29.4% in 2020, which was unsurprising given the challenges we faced, particularly the closure of physical businesses at various stages. Positively, the EV market continued to grow. The light van market saw a marginal decline in December and finished the year with a decline of -20%. Please find more information in the news.

Following the beginning of a new lockdown in England and Scotland, and as current restrictions remain in place in Northern Ireland and Wales, in addition to the updates in today’s newsletter, we have shared with our members further guidance on online sales and click & collect. If you have not received the document, please contact us.

We have also included in the newsletter a summary of the measures of financial support available to businesses. We continue to share regular updates via our Coronavirus briefings, if you are a member and not currently receiving these, please contact us.
