DVSA has launched a new campaign to help you promote your other safety checks to your customers, like a health check or service.
Whatever your essential journey, make it SAFE
As schools reopen and motorists who need to drive are on the road more often, DVSA are encouraging vehicle owners to check their vehicle before they set off and make sure they are SAFE by doing four basic checks:
Service or health check if needed
Air in tyres
Fill up screenwash
Examine lights and tyre tread
Working together: free toolkit for communicating with your customers
DVSA has developed a toolkit to help you reach out to customers who need to drive. It’s designed to help you contact them to:
- offer a service or health check for peace of mind
- provide information about how to do simple vehicle safety checks
- ask them to consider going back to their original MOT date
To get involved with the campaign, you can download the toolkit via this link SAFE vehicle safety checks toolkit (MOT garages) as well as additional images on the DVSA’s ‘Matters of Testing’ blog
