Dear Colleague,

This week we published the results of the latest NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey. We have had an outstanding response rate with nearly 60% of dealers completing the survey. The overall average score saw a slight improvement from six months ago although there were a number of areas where dealers expressed dissatisfaction. Please find further details in the news.

Yesterday, the Government announced changes to the Plug-in Grant rates and eligibility criteria, meaning fewer vehicles will benefit from the grant. We have written to the Transport Secretary Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP to express our surprise and disappointment at these sudden changes at such a critical time. Please find more details below.

Member feedback indicated that a number of dealers have experienced difficulty accessing ‘Local Restrictions Support Grants’, which were first introduced to support businesses impacted by the November lockdown in England. To support dealers who have encountered this issue, NFDA has compiled a guide summarising our view of members’ eligibility for these grants. If you have not received the Lockdown Grants Dealer Guide, please contact us.

The end of March deadline to obtain your Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation is fast approaching – if you would like to become ‘EVA Approved’ and obtain your EVA badge of approval please email eva@rmif.co.uk as soon as possible.
