The Public and Commercial Services (PCS) has now formally notified DVLA that they will ask their members to take strike action between Tuesday 6th and Friday 9th April. It is not clear at this stage how many PCS members will respond to this request or what the impact of this action will be, should it go ahead.

The contingency measures that DVLA has had in place through the pandemic to mitigate the impact on DVLA’s paper application services will continue and be reinforced if the strike action does go ahead.

DVLA's online services will still be available and are the quickest and easiest way to deal with them.

For information and to access the services go to www.gov.uk/browse/driving

  • Acquire a vehicle from trade

DVLA has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause.
