Lockdown restrictions have been eased across the UK in the past week, allowing dealers to safely welcome back customers in a Covid compliant environment. Where restrictions remain on showrooms being able to fully re-open, we will continue to work with the devolved authorities, officials, and ministers to ensure that they can as soon as it is safe to do so.

The NFDA HR Working Group was held on 15 April and was attended by a broad range of HR Directors and senior managers. Amongst the topics covered were the processes for re-opening including policies for vaccinations, the use of apprenticeship levy for Coaching Level 5 and the changing skill requirements of automotive retail workforces.

Over the next couple of weeks, the NFDA will be hosting regional dealer calls. The first of these will be the North-West, which will take place at 11 am on 22 April. The North-East regional call will be at 2 pm on 22 April. The Southern, South-West and Midlands forums will take place the following week.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers: if you require any assistance or would like any further information about any of the issues discussed in the newsletter please email nfda@rmif.co.uk or contact our member helpline on 01788 538303.
