Dear Colleague,

Showrooms in England have now been open for nearly two weeks and, positively, retailers continue to report healthy footfall and strong demand. Plus, recent industry insights indicate the majority of buyers looking to visit dealerships over the coming weeks intend to do so to buy a car. In addition to this, used car prices remain at high levels, demonstrating that consumer demand is buoyant. Please find more information below.

Our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation scheme has now closed applications for 2020/21. EVA’s second year saw an extremely successful uptake from dealers as retailers continue to look to improve and meet the demand for EVs. We have finalised our submission seeking Government support and funding for 2021/22 and, with a number of dealers already on the waiting list, we encourage you to register your interest in advance by emailing eva@rmif.co.uk.
