Do you have what it takes to become ‘EV Approved’? Please contact us: the deadline to fill the few remaining slots is fast approaching.
The EVA accreditation scheme recognises dealers’ expertise in EVs and promotes industry standards. The EVA badge of approval will give your customers the confidence that you will be able to provide them with the best possible experience in EV retail and aftersales.
The EVA accreditation scheme has been developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA). Following the success of EVA’s first year, which saw over one-hundred dealers obtain accredited status, the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) has renewed its co-sponsorship of the scheme. The scheme is also backed by Energy Saving Trust (EST), who independently audit dealerships to verify that they meet a set of standards covering EV sales and aftersales.
The standards retailers need to meet to pass their EVA audit include the requirement for dealerships to have: customer accessible chargepoints on site, always a specialist EV sales staff member in the showroom, all staff trained in EV basics, specialist EV maintenance and repair tools, and equipment, chargepoint(s) installed in the workshop, EV trained technicians and more.
Slots continue to be allocated to dealers on a first come, first served basis, with a set of caps on applications aimed at widening dealer participation in the scheme. If you are interested in becoming EV Approved, please email eva@rmif.co.uk as soon as possible.
