NFDA’s regional roadshows are focusing on EVs this quarter, bringing you stimulating discussions on all challenges and opportunities surrounding the transition to zero emissions.

Additionally, we will hold our usual 'dealer discussions' focusing on the key issues affecting our members, including dealer/manufacturer relationship, the current and future state of the new and used car market, F&I and HR and recruitment.

During the discussion on EVs, industry speakers will provide you with guidance, advice and practical takeaways across four information-packed modules,

  • EV Readiness: Ensure your dealership infrastructure is ready for EVs

During the first module, Alexander Lewis-Jones, Energy Transition Expert from Delta-EE, will help you ensure that your dealership infrastructure is ready: understand the requirements, the steps you must take before spending any money and how you can benefit from the super deduction tax.

  • EV Ethos: Creating an EV culture

Through the second session of the day, Ian Featherstone, Knowledge Manager at Energy Saving Trust, will advise dealers on how to create a successful EV culture, including the importance of understanding the latest technology and adapting your workforce’s skills

  • EV Selling: Overcoming the challenges of EV customers

Declan Gaule, Chief Executive of MFG Group, will lead this section through discussions on qualifying your EV customers, overcoming potential objections and progressing enquiries.

  • EV into the Future: the route to 2030/35 and beyond

The fourth and final module of the day will discuss the future of EVs. NFDA’s Head of Operations, Paddy O’Connell FIMI, MSc, will discuss with you the route to 2030/35 and beyond. Topics will include Vehicle to Grid opportunities (V2G), future road pricing, aftersales challenges and potential tertiary revenue streams for our dealers.
