Dear Colleague,

Today, NFDA NI, our Northern Ireland Division, held a constructive meeting that provided us with valuable feedback to formulate our strategy for next year. We discussed topical issues such as MOT regulations, NI’s EV charging infrastructure and the second-hand VAT margin scheme. Please contact lena.patel@rmif.co.uk for further details about NFDA NI or to register for our next meeting in early 2022.

An update on NFDA’s initiatives: our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme is now open and retailers can apply to receive their EV accreditation; Drive My Career has recently relaunched its career-focused campaigns to support dealers’ recruitment efforts. DMC is now asking for feedback to shape its 2022’s activities. Please find more details below.

We have a number of member-meetings and events coming up including our EV Working Group on 15 December in Donnington (the agenda is available in the newsletter) and a virtual HR Working Group meeting on 20 January 2022. Please contact us to register your interests.

Finally, congratulations to all the franchised dealers who received an award or were shortlisted at this year’s Motor Trader Awards. A summary of the winners is included in the newsletter.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers: if you require any assistance or would like to discuss anything with us, please do not hesitate to contact our member helpline on 01788 538303 or email lena.patel@rmif.co.uk.
