This week, the Welsh Government released its 2022-23 Draft Budget document. NFDA has prepared a summary outlining the areas that will affect directly franchised vehicle retailers.
The Welsh Budget’s primary focus revolved around the climate emergency and inequality, while also placing a high emphasis on continuing its Covid-19 pandemic financial support and reinforcing its commitment towards a Net-Zero economy.
The areas where the Budget will affect directly franchised vehicle retailers include:
· Continuation of the Non-Domestic rates (NDR) relief
· Freezing of the NDR multiplier
· EV charging infrastructure support
· Additional funding for Welsh apprenticeship programmes
