In our recent submission ahead of the Budget taking place in 3 March, we urged the Government to continue to support businesses as they recover from the disruption due to the pandemic. In particular, we called for an extension to the Business Rates Holiday and the furlough scheme, as well as further incentives for businesses and consumers to favour the transition to EVs. Congratulations to the first Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accredited dealers of 2021. EVA continues to grow and there remain a few slots available for retailers interested in obtaining their badge of approval ahead of the March deadline – please contact eva@rmif.co.uk if you are interested.
Following recent media coverage on test drives and resulting member enquiries, the NFDA's retained TLT Solicitors have produced guidance for dealers on our interpretation of the current Covid-19 rules on this issue. We recommend that dealers do not offer test drives during the lockdown. Please find full details in our guidance available here.
