Self-isolation period for those who test positive with Covid-19 to be cut from 7 to 5 days in England

The Health Secretary Sajid Javid has announced that from Monday 17 January individuals who test positive with Covid-19 will be able to leave isolation at the start of day 6 of an infection, provided they have two negative tests. These tests are to be taken on day 5 and day 6.
