Dear Colleague,
This week, NFDA has continued preparation for our Regional Meetings taking place later this month across the UK. If you haven’t done so already, please make sure you register to attend as they are vital towards the strategy of NFDA going forward. We will be discussing relevant topics such as Block Exemption, agency models, the state of the market and more.
We are also awaiting the FCA announcement on their final version of the Consumer Duty. In many ways this will build on the existing principle of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ but will go much further. Once the FCA make their announcement dealers will have 9-12 months to ensure that they comply and meet the requirements of the new Duty. Again, this will be discussed at our Regional Meetings.
Finally, I just wanted to wish everyone an enjoyable bank holiday weekend, celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The retail world continues to operate over the bank holiday periods, and hopefully will be a busy time for the sector!
