Conservative MP visits Bristol Street Motors site in Harlow – Motor Trader

Robert Halfon, the Conservative MP for Harlow, visited Bristol Street Motors Harlow Peugeot Service Centre to hear about a £1m investment, which has created a number of jobs and apprenticeships.

Mr Halfon, who chairs the House of Commons Education Select Committee, toured the service centre and spoke to former and current apprentices, including an apprentice who is part of the latest cohort to receive an education on the maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles.

In addition, Halfon spoke to Group Operations Director at Bristol Street Motors, Leon Caruso, about the Motability Scheme. Bristol Street Motors is the largest delivery partner of the scheme, which allows people with disabilities, their families and carers to regain or maintain their independence and become mobile by exchanging certain benefits for a brand-new vehicle.

Sytner Group has agreed a deal to partner with Leicester Pride as it looks to show solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.

The dealer group has extended its 2021 partnership for a further two years and will join this year’s march, which takes place on September 3.

Colleagues will attend the event alongside their friends and families, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the community.

With Leicester being home to the Sytner Group Head Office, as well as several dealerships, bosses said ‘it felt appropriate’ to support Leicester Pride the community in which it works.

Vertu Motors appoints new Group Property Director – Motor Trader

Vertu Motors plc has appointed Peter Nicholas as Group Property Director. Nicholas joins from property and planning consultancy Rapleys and in his 20 years at the company, he provided specialist property advice across the motor retail sector. In his role at Vertu Motors plc, Peter, a Chartered Surveyor, will focus on leases, rent reviews, valuations, acquisitions and disposals. He will also oversee the construction team.

Nicholas said: “I am delighted to be joining a well-managed, expanding motor retail business. Vertu Motors plc has a significant portfolio of property, both owned and leased, with impressive plans to grow further. I am excited to be in a role where I can support these ambitions.”
