Dear Colleague,

This week, NFDA sent an update on Vertical Agreement Block Exemption Order (VABEO) to all Members to outline the current position across the sector. The NFDA will continue to work with regulators and the CMA to ensure franchised dealers are all fully briefed on the ongoing relationship between manufacturer and retailers.

The latest SMMT Figures were also released this week. New car sales reveal supply constraints and cost-of-living pressures are continuing to affect the market adversely. Sales of electric vehicles are still growing both for new cars and LCVs, and we suspect this will continue to do so, as consumers are seeking ‘green’ alternatives.

Next week, we start our new round of NFDA Regional Meetings. We will be discussing a range of issues, but will put a particular focus on F&I where there are a number of key issues regarding Commission Disclosure and the FCA new Consumer Duty. We welcome all dealer members to join us, if you would like to attend, please contact Lena Patel on lena.patel@rmif.co.uk.

NFDA is the voice of automotive retailers - if you require any advice or assistance please do not hesitate to contact your member helpline at 01788 538303 or email nfda@rmif.co.uk.
