Dear Colleague,

Despite comments, we are not aware that the European Commission has reached a final view on MVBER. We continue to engage with the European Commission via our pan-European body AECDR (the Alliance of European Car Dealers and Repairers) as well as with the CMA domestically. As we highlighted previously, we believe MVBER could be improved in a number of ways subject to internal discussion. We will keep you updated.

Yesterday, I had another constructive meeting with AADA, the Australian Dealer Association, to continue to share information about our ongoing strategy in particular around dealer/manufacturer relationship.

It has been a busy week: in addition to our well attended NFDA Exec, we held a very engaging HR Working Group meeting that allowed us to discuss a range of issues and policies facing dealers in the recruitment area as well as the relaunch of Drive My Career in 2022. We have also published the latest updates from our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation scheme and the NFDA Northern Ireland (NFDA NI) division, please find more details in today’s news.

If you are interested in learning more about any of our working groups, upcoming meetings and initiatives, please contact us.

NFDA is your trade association, we are the voice of automotive retailers: if you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at 01788 538303 or email nfda@rmif.co.uk.

Sue Robinson, NFDA Chief Executive
