Dear Colleagues,

This week, the NFDA visited parliament to meet with a senior Conservative Transport Committee member and their chief of staff. Discussions primarily centred around the electrification of the vehicle parc within the UK, government’s ambitious decarbonisation targets, and the critical role dealers will play in meeting these deadlines.

Also discussed was the topic of different future retailing models, with the parliamentarian requesting more information on this issue from NFDA.
In this edition of NFDA’s weekly newsletter, you will find an important reminder for the Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS). Please remember to complete this, as the DAS is critical in allowing the NFDA to lobby manufacturers on behalf of dealers to improve the relationship and balance of power between dealers and manufacturers.

This week, it was very sad to hear of the passing of Maurice Rourke, former Managing Director of Dutton Forshaw and past NFDA Exec Member. I would like to offer the sincerest sympathies to his family from David Newman, myself, and all at the NFDA team.
