Dear Colleagues,

This week, SMMT’s used car figures revealed continued decline for Q2 of 2022 against the backdrop of a hugely successful period in 2021, when COVID restrictions started to ease. NFDA predicts used car values will remain strong as long as the supply of good quality used cars are still lower than normal.

Survey entries for the Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS) has now closed, and I would like to thank the dealership networks that took part in helping achieve another very successful response rate. The DAS remains a vital industry benchmark and your feedback ensures we can continue to represent your best interests. The results will be available mid-September.

Next week the NFDA team will be heading to Farnborough to take part in The British Motor Show 2022. On Thursday, NFDA will be hosting a Future of Automotive Retailing Briefing which we strongly encourage Members to attend and listen to the keynote speakers we have lined up. For more information and how to register your attendance, please read the article featured in this edition of the Newsletter.

Also included in today’s Newsletter is a ‘timeline’ for Motor Vehicle Block Exemption (MVBER).
