Dear Colleagues,

Yesterday, NFDA held its Future of Automotive Retailing briefing at the British Motor Show 2022. It was a huge success, our guest speakers delivered informative presentations – ‘Forces of Change in Automotive Retailing, Auto Trader’ – ‘Agency and Regulation New Challenges Ahead, ICDP - ‘Agency Sales Model, MHA’ - which are sure to help our industry peers and it was great to see so many familiar faces in attendance. Copies of presentations are available upon request.

On another note, it was also great to meet with Conservative and Department of International Trade minister, Ranil Jayawardena MP at the British Motor Show this week, building upon productive discussion held at last year’s conservative party conference.

In this weeks’ newsletter, we have included a briefing from the FCA, making improvements to the Appointed Representatives Regime. The new rules will mean firms (Principals who appoint ARs) including some dealers will need to have better oversight of them and make enhanced reporting to the FCA.
