Liz Truss has been appointed as the new Prime Minister. The NFDA looks forward to working with her team in the coming months, particularly looking to build on our our Parliamentary Engagement programme as it is pivotal in establishing an understanding of the sector, its employment and economic contribution. This week, SMMT released their new car and LCV registration figures and it was extremely positive to see an increase in sales from last August, breaking five months of consecutive decline. Finally, the Summer 2022/2023 edition of the Dealer Attitude Survey (DAS) is out on Monday. The survey attracted an impressive response rate of 66% with a total of 2,561 responses from 32 manufacturers. The DAS explores the business relationships between dealers and manufacturers and marks significant improvements across a number of franchise networks from six months ago.
