Dear Colleagues,
The political circus continues! In the recent hours Jeremy Hunt has been announced as the new Chancellor of Exchequer, following the sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng. An immense job he has on his hands at stabilising the economy. Jeremy Hunt will be looking towards the 31 October where he will announce the highly anticipated fiscal budget review, following the mini-budget earlier last month. NFDA will provide a full update on what this budget means for automotive retailers following the announcement.
This week NFDA received an update from OZEV regarding the recent extension of the Plug-in Vehicle Grant Delivery Period. To avoid any confusion on the delivery period extension, OZEV have provided clarity and guidance on the action required for dealers with open an open status for the grant. Please find an update in this edition of NFDA Newsletter.
Enclosed in this newsletter you will also find Auto Trader’s October Mid-Market report, the data suggests that used car price growth has continued to soften as the market overlaps last year’s records, but prices are still strong and show no sign of dropping.
