Dear Colleagues,

Earlier this week, Rishi Sunak was announced as the leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of United Kingdom, wasting no time in announcing a reshuffle of his Cabinet. NFDA has written to select ministers which are considered most valuable to the automotive retail sector, highlighting the issues currently impacting our industry. We have already received responses and will continue to engage with these to ensure our members’ voices are heard.

Next week I’m flying to Northern Ireland to meet members, MPs and MLAs to address the MOT testing backlog issue which is of increasing concern for motorists. Following this meeting NFDA will be providing an update on what was discussed and our next steps.

Finally, next week look out for the Autumn edition of NFDA’s Quarterly Magazine, the Voice! This edition is stacked full of great content outlining what we have been up to the past few months, including an exclusive interview with JCT600 CEO John Tordoff, the NFDA constructed Consumer Duty implementation plan, an article celebrating JKC BMW’s 50 anniversary and much more! We will be sending out a digital copy to all members, but if you would like a physical copy sent to you, please contact adam.weeks@rmif.co.uk.

NFDA Is the voice of automotive retailers – if you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact your member helpline at 01788 538303 or email nfda@rmif.co.uk
