Dear Colleague,

Northern Ireland's Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has published its findings from the Call for Evidence on Biennial MOT testing. NFDA has been engaging with all Northern Ireland’s political parties and held a number of highly productive meetings to indicate that franchised dealers can help resolve the MOT backlog by undertaking MOTs. Our views have so far been well received. Please find further details below, we will keep you updated.

This week, our Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation scheme celebrated the 300 approved retailers mark. Supported by our collaboration with the Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and Energy Saving Trust, and embraced by dealers, EVA continues to play an important role in electrifying transport. Additionally, we have announced the launch of an EVA ‘Aftersales Pilot Group’ which will open the scheme to businesses who solely repair and service EVs. Please find more details in the news.

Save the date: NFDA’s premier marketing event of the year, Driving Digital, will be back in London, Central Hall, Westminster in the morning of Thursday 12 May (10.00 am to 1.30 pm), the day of the AM Awards. NFDA members can secure their free place via Eventbrite. The full agenda will be announced shortly.
