On Tuesday 22 February, Drive My Career (Powered by the NFDA) visited a Sytner BMW/MINI dealership in Harold Wood. The aim of the visit was to meet four sales apprentices in order to generate inspiring content that would encourage more young people to undertake an apprenticeship in automotive. We had the pleasure of meeting Dior, Olivia, Rebecca, and Darren. Each apprentice was interviewed on camera about their experience at Sytner, their apprenticeship journey and their advice for applicants.

The recorded interviews will be edited into content and circulated on social media and YouTube to inform and inspire potential talent to apply for apprenticeship opportunities, specifically at Sytner. DMC is confident that the four promising apprentices will encourage a new generation of apprentices, whilst also highlighting how far the automotive industry has come as a whole in terms of human recourses and breaking stereotypical ideas surrounding dealerships.

From the interviews, the dedication and commitment to Sytner Group were made apparent, reinforcing Sytner's position as a top employer in terms of employee satisfaction. The apprentices themselves were passionate individuals from different walks of life, spotlighting exceptional talent and growing diversity within the sector.

It should be said that Sytner has played a notable role in changing the industry image and thus attracting capable young talent.

DMC would like to thank Sytner and the apprentices for welcoming us to visit the dealership and kindly participating in our interviews.

Stay tuned with Drive My Career on social media to see what Sytner's apprentices have to say!
