Dear Colleagues,

On Wednesday, the new car and van registration figures for the new plate month of March were published. The first quarter of 2023 saw a 15.5% increase from March 2022 and was the largest month in history for Battery Electric Vehicles new car registrations. After a tough few years of trading, with the pandemic, component shortages, and wider economic instability, it is extremely positive to see the continued trend of growth. Also today, interesting figures from the Australian market can be found in today's newsletter.

This week, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published their Business Plan for 2023/24 which sets out its priorities for the second year of this strategy. NFDA will continue to work closely with the FCA and raise any concerns we have with the published business plan. For more information, or if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are less one than one month away from the NFDA’s 2023 Spring Ball and we are delighted to announce Reginald D. Hunter as our Celebrity Guest Speaker. Reginald will join Mark Durden-Smith, as host of the event. Do not miss out on this opportunity and join us on Saturday 22 April. There are a few tickets left, if you would like more information, please email lena.patel@rmif.co.uk

Finally, happy easter and enjoy your bank holiday!

Sue Robinson, NFDA Chief Executive
